On the first floor, the romantic Coral Suite is done up in shades of deep pinks and reds, with a beautiful draped four-poster bed as the centrepiece.

The large windows have a unique view over the waterfall, the gardens, the sunset and the rice-growing valley below (particularly pretty in the monsoon – let no one tell you Goa isn’t a place to visit in the rains!).

The bird paintings here are by celebrated painter/illustrator Carl D’Silva.

This room has its own seating area, along with a large dressing area with wall-to-wall wardrobe and a very large (room-sized!) bathroom, with a huge window that gives you views of birds and butterflies even as your privacy is protected by chic café-curtains.

The heart of the villa is a double-height living room. Summertime has three suites: the Koi Suite, the Coral Suite and the Sunflower Suite.
